We want to offer more events! Seminars, audience research and interlinked local activities will enhance the experience and give a deeper impression of Home not Home. The Room in Between is a co-operation between Intercult, Re:Orient and Sprong Kommunikation with the aim of creating more resonance and more events. Re:Orient can offer the discussion forum, Sprong works to reach out to new unestablished audience groups and Intercult enhances the experience by supporting several existing local organizers with additional events.

Seminar - Re:Orient
Re:Orient will take care of a number of seminars which relate to different aspects of the project, ranging, for instance, from pop-culture as identity reference beyond origin and nationality to the situation of women torn between tradition and modernity. The integration of Turkey into the EU and the impact of mobility on the artistic creative process are on the agenda as well. Every seminar has international as well as local participants.

Audience Research - Sprong Kommunikation
Sprong Kommunikation and the local organizer will make an analysis of the target groups to pinpoint what kind of audience usually visits these events, what the demography of the area or district looks like and which key players/associations/ other organizers are present in the area. Based on the result of the analysis Sprong, together with the local organizer, will search out new and unexpected co-operations in the area/district and test new marketing strategies, such as arranging a house club in connection with the project (link to musicians in the play) or co-operating with other players (for instance, other organizers) who, although not working primarily with art and culture, are very popular with the target groups we are looking for.

Additional activities based on the organizer's will and possibilities - Intercult
Intercult and the local organizer will draw up an overview of further possible events and potential local co-operation partners to involve in Home not Home. The list may contain, for instance, a festival of Fatih Akin's films in co-operation with the film club, a radio documentary festival in co-operation with the local newspaper, a literary lunch with Turkish poetry and prose in co-operation with the library, a video workshop in co-operation with students' associations, discussions with the actors in co-operation with the theatre association, a club evening featuring Multikulti DJ in co-operation with the concert association/disco, interior decoration for people on the move in co-operation with the home design / furniture shop and / or an exhibition about the local feminist movement of the place coordinated with the activities of the relevant association.
